About me,
Hi, I am Marianna. I am a multidisciplinary Mexican artist. I am currently working from my home studio in las Vegas.
My work explores the deepest sensations of myself. I draw inspiration from the nature around me. Through the movement of the threads I pay tribute to the stories of my Mexican culture. I depict women of brown skin that represent the creation and protection of life.
I have a deep connection with clay. The mix of this element of the Earth with the softness of the threads allows me to create sensations in the viewer, encouraging them to engage with the message that speaks of nature’s beauty and our relationship with Mother Earth. We are clay, we are minerals, we are water, we are nature in every molecule and neuron. I seek to create awareness to protect and restore the delicate balance between the world of the living and the natural creation of life by making slow and intentional pieces of art.
